1. The Sunrise Sip
The gaining popularity of adaptogenic and mushroom-infused coffee blends is real. I created the Sunrise sip as an introduction to something trendy and tasty.
Base: 2 oz espresso or strongly brewed coffee
Mushrooms: 1 tsp mushroom powder (lion’s mane is my go-to)
Spice: ¼ tsp ground turmeric, ginger, or cinnamon + pinch of black pepper for absorption
Milk: 6 oz heated oat milk
Sweetener: ½ tsp maple syrup (optional)
Garnish: Dusting of cinnamon
You get all-day energy without agitation. Enjoy!
2. The New Old Fashioned
It's mocktail time! This version is coffee-based and delicious.
Ingredients
2 oz espresso or cold brew
¾ oz Cure for Pain or simple syrup
6 – 8 dashes alcohol-free orange bitters
Ice (one large cube preferred)
Orange peel for garnish
Method
Add ice to your mixing glass
Pour in the espresso, Cure for Pain, and bitters. Stir gently for 20–30 seconds to chill and dilute slightly
Strain and serve. Add one large ice cube to a rocks glass, strain your concoction over your rocks glass
Express an orange peel over the surface to release oils, then drop it in your drink for added visual appeal
3. The All Americano
Versatile and smooth, the Americano’s strength can be adjusted to meet you where you’re at in the day.
1 – 2 oz of espresso, depending on desired strength
(Preferred brew method—Moka Pot)3 – 4 oz of filtered hot water
You can add any variation of milk and sweetener to taste.
4. Coffee Caipirinha
A refreshing and effervescent beverage for those warm nights.
Ingredients
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
2 tsp simple syrup or sugar
2 oz cold brew (bold bean)
2-3 oz sparkling water (you can get creative with flavor)
Ice
Mint and lime wedge for garnish
Method
Muddle lime & simple syrup in a tall glass
Pour in the cold brew and stir gently
Fill the glass with ice and top with sparkling water
Place a lime wedge on the rim of the glass and add mint directly to the drink.
Sip with satisfaction!
5. The Boulevard Blonde
Warning: May result in cravings.
I first tried blonde chocolate in Hawaii, of all places, and fell in love. I couldn’t wait to use it in a beverage.
2 oz espresso
4 discs of French baking blonde chocolate (Valrhona)
6 oz steamed whole milk (substitute as desired)
Whipped cream and a blush of cinnamon
Add the blond chocolate to the espresso and stir until melted. Add milk, then top with whipped cream and cinnamon.
