Wholesale Sales Specialist

We’re hiring a part-time Wholesale Sales Specialist to help expand our wholesale footprint across the Bay Area. You’ll be responsible for identifying and connecting with potential partners—hotels, B&Bs, and local businesses—to introduce them to our brand and coffee offerings.

You will prospect, pitch, schedule meetings, work in tandem with the founder to close the deal, and manage accounts once established. You will be the relationship lead from start to finish. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about coffee and community and who thrives in a self-starting, entrepreneurial environment.

What We Expect:

  • Prospect and research potential wholesale clients across the Bay Area

  • Call, email, and visit in person to introduce Chapter Coffee and schedule tastings

  • Collaborate with the founder to pitch and close new wholesale accounts

  • Deliver a compelling brand story tailored to each prospective partner

  • Maintain relationships and manage reordering, seasonal recommendations, and upsells

  • Track outreach efforts, deal progress, and account performance.

Who You Are:

You’re not a “smile and dial” rep—you’re a strategic operator who understands how to:

  • Analyze neighborhoods and make quick calls on which venues to pursue

  • Read a lobby, identify stale coffee setups, and see opportunity

  • Build relationships and win trust through authenticity

  • Handle objections and present an undeniable value proposition

  • Drive sales even when an account already has a coffee partner

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years in sales, beverage services, or hospitality (independent or boutique preferred)

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with the Bay Area's hospitality/food scene is a plus

  • Prior coffee industry experience is a bonus—but not required

Compensation:

Base + Commission. This position requires in-person meetings and 15-20 hours per week. Additional information and growth opportunities are discussed during the interview.

Sales Associate

Chapter Coffee is growing, and we’re seeking a Sales Associate to help fuel our wholesale expansion. This role is focused on outreach and lead generation—you’ll be the first point of contact, sparking interest and creating warm opportunities for our Sales Specialist to close.

This is a remote, part-time role, ideal for someone who’s comfortable making calls, sending thoughtful emails, and building early-stage connections.

What You’ll Do:

  • Research and prospect potential wholesale clients (hotels, B&Bs, cafes, and local businesses).

  • Cold call and email prospects to introduce Chapter Coffee.

  • Qualify interest and schedule follow-ups with our Sales Specialist.

  • Document outreach, track responses, and maintain clean lead records.

  • Provide weekly updates on activity and progress.

Who You Are:

  • Persistent, professional, and not afraid of cold outreach.

  • Organized and detail-oriented—you know how to track leads without letting anything slip.

  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

  • Motivated by results and eager to grow in sales.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-4 years in sales support, telemarketing, or lead generation.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (or willingness to learn).

  • Hospitality, food & beverage, or coffee background a plus—but not required.

Compensation:

  • Hourly: $18-20/hour (DOE).

  • Flexible schedule, approx. 10–15 hours per week.

  • Potential to grow with the company.
